Fim de semana de rodeio no River Ranch

Rodeio de sábado à noite, cavalgada e airboat num rancho de verdade a 90 minutos de Orlando.

A Flórida que ninguém posta não tem palmeira nem parque. Tem gado, sela, poeira e um touro de 800 quilos saindo do brete às 19h30 de sábado. O Westgate River Ranch é um dude ranch de verdade no meio do estado, a cerca de 90 minutos de Orlando. Todo sábado à noite a arena de 2.400 lugares enche para o rodeio: trick riding, barrel racing e bull riding, com atletas que competem no circuito. É barulhento, é rápido, e é o tipo de coisa que criança brasileira nunca viu de perto. O resto do fim de semana é o rancho: cavalgada, passeio de airboat pelo pântano, swamp buggy, fazendinha, pônei, escalada, tirolesa, minigolfe e um parque aquático. À noite o saloon abre, com touro mecânico e música. A vaga do motorhome fica na frente da propriedade, ao lado da arena e do saloon. Isso é bom e é ruim: você caminha até o rodeio, e você escuta o saloon. Quem quer silêncio absoluto talvez prefira outro pacote. Quem quer estar no meio da coisa está no lugar certo. Um aviso honesto sobre a estrutura: aqui as vagas são de grama e o hookup é parcial — tem água e energia de 30 ou 50 amperes, mas não tem esgoto na vaga. Existe estação de despejo no local. Para duas noites isso não faz diferença nenhuma na prática, e a gente entrega o RV com os tanques prontos. Sexta — chegada ao rancho — Check-in e reconhecimento da propriedade. Jantar no Smokehouse on the River e primeira noite no saloon, com touro mecânico. A vaga do motorhome fica na frente da propriedade, a poucos minutos a pé da arena e do saloon. Pernoite: Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo. Deslocamento do dia: aproximadamente 105 km (65 milhas).
Sábado — dia de rancho e noite de rodeio — Manhã de cavalgada ou passeio de airboat pelo pântano. À tarde, fazendinha, pônei, escalada, minigolfe e o parque aquático River Country. Às 19h30 o rodeio começa na arena de 2.400 lugares, com trick riding, barrel racing e bull riding. Pernoite: Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo.
Domingo — café e volta — Manhã livre para o que ficou faltando e saída depois do almoço. Deslocamento do dia: aproximadamente 105 km (65 milhas).
